Daniel V. Baddick, 87, of Tamaqua, PA died on Sunday, September 26, 2021 in Weatherly, PA. He was the husband of Jean (nee Stemmler) Baddick with whom he would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this October. Born in Tamaqua on July 29, 1934, Daniel was a son of the late Jacob and Mary (nee Urban) Baddick. He was an owner and operator of the Baddick & Laskowsky Drilling and Boring, Tamaqua. Daniel served in the Tamaqua National Guard. At one time he had been an avid hunter and he always enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles. Daniel was raised in the Catholic church. In addition to his wife, Jean, Daniel is survived by sons, Daniel J. Baddick and his wife Susan of Tamaqua, Thomas J. Baddick of State College, PA, and David A. Baddick and his wife Sherry of New Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren, Eric Baddick, Maureen Creitz, David Baddick, and Jacob Baddick; 6 great grandchildren; and brother, Victor Baddick of Tamaqua. He was predeceased by a son, Theodore Baddick; brothers, Paul Baddick, Louis Baddick, Theodore Baddick, Jacob Baddick, and John Baddick; and sisters, Frances Tepo, Nora Woznisky, and Rita Navitsky. Services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Zizlemann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua. Interment in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown will follow the services. Call 9-11 AM on Thursday at the funeral home. COVID-19 protocols will be followed.
