Leota LaNell Dinsdale was born on October 10, 1936 in Scurry County Hospital in Snyder, Texas, the daughter and only child of Charlie and Doris (Martin) Lewis. LaNell received her entire education in Peaster, Texas, graduating from Peaster High School in 1955. She was united in marriage to James Dinsdale on May 14, 1955, at the Peaster Baptist Church. James was in the Army and after his honorable discharge, they moved to Iowa, which was James' home. They farmed for several years before moving to Traer in 1965.
LaNell raised three children and worked eighteen years as a bookkeeper in their family business. She loved her husband of 66 years and enjoyed antiques, art, flower arranging, fishing, and puppies. LaNell died at the age of 84 on September 25, 2021, at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Darla. LaNell is survived by her husband; two children, Lisa (Greg) Givens and Tim (Cindy) Dinsdale; four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
