After graduating from Edwards County Senior High School in Albion, Illinois, she married her high school sweetheart Gene Bennett and moved to Evansville, Indiana where they raised their 3 children: Angela Pratt, Julie Moore, and Jennifer Peach.
Gloria spent most of her working career teaching, caring for and loving little ones at Methodist Temple Day Care. When she wasn't working, she loved scouring garage sales, playing piano, picking – and eating – strawberries, and telling everyone about her amazing grandchildren – Jackson, Parker, and Carson Peach, Bennett and Eric Moore, and Kathryn Pratt Vsetecka and Mitchell Pratt. She deeply loved and cared for her sisters Sally Snyder and Sandra Gray, as well as the many wonderful and faithful women who supported and surrounded her through her many health challenges.
Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27th and Tuesday, September 28th from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor David Niednagel. Private burial will follow at Little Wabash United Methodist Cemetery in Edward County, Illinois.
