The Graveside/Committal Services will be at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Spring Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00PM until 2:00PM Saturday 9/25/21 at Oliver Funeral Home.
Marty was born 12/21/1955 in Ft. Worth, TX to the late Noble Clifton Morgan and Ora Fay Watts Morgan. He is survived by his wife; Ardra Morgan, Eupora, MS, son; James C. (Candace) Morgan, Eupora, MS, step-daughter; Kylie Rae (Russell) Faulk, Lake Charles, LA, two grandsons; Cole Morgan and Payne Hudson, two granddaughters; Elizabeth Morgan and Kaydee Belle Broussard, his faithful dogs; Rocky, Bella and LeeLee, brother; Robbie J. (Tina) Morgan, Gautier, MS, two sisters; Amanda (Curtis) Morrow, Ft. Worth, TX, and Sandra Renee Clevenger, Ft. Worth, TX, sister-in-law; Lynne Gross, Youngsville, LA, two brother-in-laws; David (Teri) Bennett, Houston, TX, Miles Bennett, Duson, LA, and many nieces and nephews.

Marty was a good and kind man. He went by many names, sweetie, daddy, grandpa, and laughed when called Uncle Gizz.
He loved his family and his friends. And he loved his dogs. Even when they dug bomb craters.
He loved his son James and was so very proud of the good man James was and the excellent father he was to Cole and Elizabeth. He was proud to see James and Candace making a good life for themselves.
Cole and Elizabeth, your Grandpa loved you with all his heart. He was so proud of all your accomplishments but was really proud that you are both good and caring people. He knew that the world needs young people to carry things forward.
Though he did not know his step-daughter, Kylie, that long, he loved her and his bonus grandchildren. He really wanted them to leave the gulf coast and get away from the hurricanes. Payne and Kaydee, you mattered to him. He always talked about the trip to Colorado, he enjoyed spending that time with you.
Marty supported many causes. He sent monthly donations to St Jude and to Wounded Warriors. He read each note from St Jude and kept many of the pictures of the children. He went put of his way to shake service members and veterans hands and thank them. He would stop a law enforcement/fire fighter/emt and thank them. He would give his last penny to someone if he thought they needed it more than he did. And Marty supported the humane society. He helped foster some kittens recently, not really sure of what to do, he encouraged them to eat and cleaned them up. He was always available to do special projects to help the shelter.
And Marty loved Ardra. He was her rock, her protector, her cheerleader and her dearest friend. He could calm her fears and could also rile her temper, but he never let the night end with tempers or hurt feelings. He loved her and respected her. He was proud that she could read a tape measure and cut a fine line on the table saw. He remembered special days and always bought the perfect gift, well not the sheets. But he knew her well and showed it when he gave her a shovel for their first Valentine's Day. Together Ardra and Marty could accomplish anything, many people shared with Ardra how they just looked right when they were together.
Marty was a special man, a hard worker, a man of his word, a kind and tender hearted man. he loved family he loved friends. He will be greatly missed.
