She was first married to Matthew Thomas Brown. It is believed he may be buried in Rockdale Cemetry, Garland County, in an unmarked grave. After his death, she married Mr. Peavyhouse.
Mr. Peavyhouse's marker shows he was born in 1838; however, census indicates 1844. His marker shows he died in 1914; Arkansas Death Index indicates J. H. Pevehouse died January 24, 1926. He is listed in 1920 census; therefore, his marker has incorrect dates. I do believe this is the correct James H. Peavyhouse (Peve-House) but believe it even has the incorrect unit in which he served. Cynthia's (Centhia's) husband served on the Union side. (Perhaps, on the south as well - that was not unusual during that time.)
