Betty Skidmore Gregory, 94, went to be with the Lord March 18, 2021. She was born December 17, 1926 in Gaston County, a daughter of the late Henry W. and Carrie Moser Skidmore. She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Gregory; sons Kyle and Jerry Gregory; brother Gene Skidmore; sisters Dot Venn, Lois Skidmore, Callie Skidmore, Mazel Yarborough, Ruth Gilbert, Helen Barker, Faye Schronce; grandson Jason Baker.
Betty was a long time and faithful member of Goshen Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed by her children Andy (Debbie) Gregory of Conway, SC, Rick (Sherry) Gregory of Lowell; Sue (Bob) Neff of Mt. Holly; brother Jack (Susan) Skidmore of Mt. Holly; sisters Louise (Neb) Hollis of Stanley, Thelma Farris of Belmont; grandchildren Scott (Ella) Gregory, Samantha Gregory, David (Alla) Gregory, Jessica Gregory, Charli (Daniel) Gregory Floyd; great grandchildren Dani McCoskey, Paxton Floyd, Hattie McCoskey, Pressley Floyd and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 pm, Sunday, March 21 at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont. A funeral service will follow at 3 pm in the Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Steve Crank officiating. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
