Laura Faye Thomas, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born October 30, 1937 in Jasper, Alabama to James O. and Geanie B. Abbot Timmons.
She and Marion Thomas were married December 19, 1959 Springfield, Missouri. He preceded her in death June 6, 2008.
She worked 18 years in insurance. She was a member of the Professional Business Women's Association and was President of the River Heritages Association.
She was a devout Baptist and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include, three brothers, Jim Timmons of Michigan, Bill Timmons of Tennessee and Fred Timmons of Alabama; and a daughter-in-law, Teri Thomas of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Jeffrey Thomas.
There will be a private graveside at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
