Robert Lee Duncan was the son of Herman Henry Duncan and Effie Lou Ray.
He was a Private First Class in Company D, 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division. He was a Tactical Wire Operations Specialist (MOS: 36K10). He arrived in South Vietnam on July 11, 1967, and was killed in combat from an explosion on October 6, 1967 in Hau Nghia Province, South Vietnam. He was posthumously promoted to Corporal and awarded the Purple Heart. He was 19 years old.
His siblings were Martha Duncan Carroll, Jessie Duncan, Clifford Duncan and Shirley Duncan Paris.
