Jeanne R. Santayana, aresident of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Saturday September 18, 2021. She was the widow of George T. Santayana who passed in 2006. Born in Wilkes Barre, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Gatti) Spendido. Jeanne worked in the Finance Dept of Mack Trucks for over 34 years until retiring.
She is survived by son George Santayana; daughter Patrice Szilezy with husband Frank; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brother Joseph Splendido; predeceased by daughter in law Rosemary A. (Schrampf) Santayana; sister Mary Ryan and husband Jack; sister in law Rosalie Splendido.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Stanley Moczydlowski on Friday September 24, 2021 at 10:00 am in Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Avenue, Whitehall, PA 18052. There will be no calling hours. Interment in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Whitehall will be private.
