Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Goulding were held on Friday, October 19, 2007, at 2:00p.m. at Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Teague. Bro. Steve Cowart and Bro. Paul Gauntt officiated. Interment followed the services at Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Goulding passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at her residence in Teague. Mrs. Goulding was a longtime resident of Teague. She was a member of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church and was very involved for many years in Sunday School, ladies projects, feeding bereaved families, and other ministries. She owned and operated her on beauty shop for many years and was a dedicated homemaker for her husband. She married Estes Goulding on May 11, 1940 and shared sixty-three years together before being separated by his death in 2003. She is survived by two sisters, Shirley Burleson of Fairfield and Linda Kay Morris of Teague; three grandchildren, Phil Morris of Austin, Kelley Taptich of Freehold, New Jersey, and Jason Morris of Arlington; five great-grandchildren, Kayle Morris, Cody Morris, Cory Morris, Kaitlyn Taptich, and Colin Taptich; sister-in-law, Louise May of Teague; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters, and two brothers.
