Survived by his loving daughters, Barbara (Dean) Beavers from Cave in Rock, IL., Sue Ann (Roy) Ericksen from Mountain Home AR and Shirley (Ashley) Craig from Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Rhonda (John) Langley, Kim (Charles) Schmalzried, Marc (Laura) Craig; and six great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his wife, Joan Kluge (nee Malinowski) on October 24, 2003; his parents, Peter and Martha (nee Kuzimkowski) Kluge; one brother, Paul Kluge; one sister, Irene (late Walter) Slaboszewski.
Born in Lemont, IL. Edward retired after 30 years of service from the U.S. Post Office (Lemont, IL) as a Postal Carrier. Past Commander of the American Legion Post 1080. Services will be held at the funeral home beginning at 8:30 A.M. with a chapel service at 10:00 A.M. Father Ron P. Neitzke will be officiating. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2007 beginning at 8:30 A.M. until the time of the service.
