A visitation will be held from 4-6pm, Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary with the memorial service following at 6pm. A private family burial will be later at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Amboy, Minnesota.
Deb was born October 29, 1951, to Alvin and Genevieve (Schneeberger) Boeck. She attended Willow Creek Grade School and Amboy High School where she graduated in 1969. Afterward, she worked several office jobs around Minnesota. Deb met Paul Young in Mankato and they married on September 8, 1978. They owned and operated the NAPA stores in Mankato and St. Peter. Deb also liked traveling to several cities over the years on fun trips with her sisters. Deb and Paul spent winters over the past several years in Florida where she could indulge her love for flowers and gardening year round. In retirement, she worked at garden centers in both Mankato and Venice, Florida. She was also a dog sitter and walker in her later years. She truly loved dogs, especially her dog, Smokey.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Young of Madison Lake; two sons, Jerry Young of Madison Lake and Michael (Karen) Young of Mankato; grandson, Blake Young of Mankato; and two sisters, Jane Schreader of Mankato and Delores Boeck (Gene Wee) of Lawrence, Kansas.
