Greenville died in Hudnall, Kanawah Co., West Virginia. Married to Samantha Adams in 1879 in Lawrence Co., Kentucky. His death certificate states his parents as Huston Curnutte and Elizabeth Sparks, this is incorrect. His children were Emma, Martin Houston, Geneva, Charley, Leo Franklin, Jessie, Pearl Elizabeth and Naomi Ester Curnutte.

G. V. Curnutte, 81, died yesterday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. E. McCormick of Holley Grove. Funeral services are to be held at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Holley Grove Baptist church and interment is to be in the cemetery there.
He is survived by three sons, M. H., of Sharon; C. B. of Ohley and L. F. Curnutte of New Martinsville; four other daughters, Mrs. Peter Carpenter of Acup; Mrs. C. C. Hughes of Busseyville, Ky.; Mrs. Alice Jones of Donwood and Mrs. R. E. DeWees of Gordon; three half brothers, James Sparks of Standard; Cobert and Hugh Sparks of Yatesville, Ky.
