Donn Allen Martin, 81, of South Bend, IN passed away in his home on Saturday, January 9, 2021.
Affectionately known as Butch, he was born in South Bend, IN on October 20, 1939, to Martha Martin (nee Csicsics) and Arthur Martin. He was proceeded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert (Bobby), Daniel (Sonny); sister, Virginia (Ginny); his ex-wife Faith (Fi); children, Michael and Andrea. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Martin (Daniel); nieces, Claudia, Michele, Mavis, Gail and Laura; and nephews, Jay and Lee. He is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He had some very close friends that became family. Special mention for his very close and loved friends, David Musser, Rick Berkheiser, and Judi Singleton.
He was a kind, loving, gentle, and unique man. He loved many things in his life; his family most importantly. He loved and collected art and antiques. He proudly owned antique stores and a ceramic shop. He had a great love for the Borzoi breed and owned several throughout his adult life.
He served in the US Navy from 1962-1968 and was honorably discharged.
