Born on November 27, 1933 in Summers County, WV to Enfield Oliver Dick and Annie Florence Brown Dick.
BEESON – Phyllis Jean Hardy, 87, of Beeson, died Saturday, January 23, 2021. Born November 27, 1933 in Summers County, she was the daughter of the late Enfield Dick and Anna Brown Dick.

Mrs. Hardy was a retired CNA and was a member of Old State Road Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers, canning and cooking for her family and church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George Akers; second husband, Kurt Hardy; son, Ernie Akers; infant sister, Shirley Dick; brother, Ginger Dick; sister-in-law, Betty Dick; and grandson, Chris Lusk.

Survivors include daughters, Deborah Lusk and husband Roger, Kathie Akers, Janet Smith, Mary McMahon and husband John, Melissa Shrewsbury and husband Earnie and Toni Brown; sons, Woodie Akers and wife Judy, John Akers and wife Peggy, Gary Hardy and John Hardy; brothers, Tom Dick and Sonny Dick and wife Kaye; sister-in-law, Linda Dick; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; special friends, Wanda and Harold Chinsolo and Dr. Michael Crews; and faithful companion dog, Rosie.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Brother Harold Chinsolo officiating. Interment will follow at Shrewsbury-Sneed Family Cemetery in Beeson.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
