Frances Marie Hood Neutzenhelzer, 102, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully with loved ones around her on September 16, 2021. She was born on March 19, 1919 in Fayette County to the late Harry and Clara (Brattain) Hood.
Frances graduated from Connersville High School in 1937. She was employed as an executive secretary for Stokely-VanCamp for 35 years.
Frances enjoyed many years of glorious retirement! She cherished numerous trips and made countless memories with several dear friends, especially Kaye and the late, George Totton and their family and Jay and Alice Craig and the late, Paul Craig. She was an avid reader and would faithfully read the Wall Street Journal every day. Frances was a fabulous palmist and was the heart of every party when she got out her bright light and toothpick to read palms. She loved her twenty years living at the Benjamin Court apartments and had caring friends, Kent, Duane, and Jean, who watched over her and helped take care of her. She was a treasure to so many!
Frances is survived by her loving friends, Kaye Totton, Brian and Deanna Totton, Rick and Donna Koch, Jackie Ponsler, Susan Kessler, and Jim Totton; her nephews, Robert (Janet) Hood, Brent Hood and Ron Hood; her niece, Marjean (Roy) Cupp; and her second cousins, Peggy (Bob) Brady, Patty (Phil) Anderson, and Mark Hood.
Frances was preceded in death by her son, Conrad L. Neutzenhelzer and her brother, Dale Hood.
