Janice Wray (Douthit) Birmingham was born March 2, 1939 in Muskogee to Anna Glea (Tatum) and Raymond Douthit. Jan was welcomed by big brothers, Jack David and Russell Allen.

She was born into a large, loving family of aunts, uncles and cousins that enjoyed frequent family gatherings. Holidays were always a very special event- she loved the excitement of giving and receiving. She became a quite extravagant giver in her adulthood.

Raised and educated in Muskogee, Jan attended and graduated from Muskogee High School. Upon entering high school, she met her first love, Joe Crain. Being young and foolish, they parted after several years but have remained close friends over the years.

Following graduation, Jan entered the work force. She found employment at American Airlines where she worked as the executive secretary to the Vice-President. She retired after a 30 year career. Here, she met Dan Birmingham, who was also employed by American Airlines. The two married on August 30, 1968. The couple enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, where they played much golf.

Jan found a second career in real estate, working for Gordona Duca Realtors. She found much success and thoroughly enjoyed helping people find their forever home.

Known for her many personalities, Jan loved with all of her heart, and spoke her mind. A generous giver, she was a bright and shining star. She loved animals and was devoted to her dog, Annie.

Jan renewed her faith and vows to the Lord before her passing and was impatiently waiting to go Home. She passed away September 13, 2021 at her home with family by her side.

Those she leaves to cherish her memory are her cousins: Nedra Henson, Wallena Haynes, John Collins and wife, Louise, Peggy Day, Jackie Kirk, Becky Davis and husband, John, and Dixie Davidson; sister-in-law, Linda Douthit; nieces and nephews, Diane Douthit and friend, John, David Douthit and wife Valliry, Allen Douthit, and Jennifer Douthit; special friend for more than 30 years, Glenda Davison and daughter, Becky Rheude; step-children, Kimberly Birmingham-Addington and husband, Terry, Cody Birmingham, and Dusty Birmingham along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and husband.
