Clara B. (Nichols) Connis, Age 94 passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the Robert Packer Hospital. She was born June 27, 1927, in Elmira daughter of the late Ralph B. & Clara (Christian) Nichols. Clara was retired from Maple Lawn Dairy & Restaurant where she was employed as a prep cook. Clara and Wallace R. "Walt" Connis were married February 28, 1976, and they enjoyed 45 years together. She found great joy in cooking, gardening, interior decorating and spending time with her family. Survivors include her loving husband Wallace R. "Walt" Connis of Lowman, children, Floyd R. Voorhees of Lowman, James W. Voorhees of Lowman, Nancy L. Voorhees of Elmira, stepchildren, Cheryl Gustin of AZ, Stephen Connis of PA, Tina Blackwell of AZ, sisters, Mina DeRenzo of Elmira, Sue (Skip) Whittaker of Hawley PA, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by er parents, first husband, Floyd A. Voorhees, a son Richard A. Voorhees stepson, Michael Connis and three grandchildren Nichole Voorhees, James Voorhees and Matthew Voorhees.
