Timothy Adams(6), Thomas(5), Timothy(4), Timothy(3), Thomas(2), Henry(1), was born at Chelmsford, Mass. 4 June,1762.

Timothy is the son of Sgt Thomas Adams and Mary Mead.

He married first in Westford, Mass. 15 July, 1783 Lydia Robbins b. Sept. 1760, daughter of Jacob Robbins and Lydia Heald. Lydia Heald is the daughter of John Heald and Mary Hale. Timothy married second Hannah surname unknown.

Revolutionary War was a Private in the Massachusetts Militia 7/12/1779 to 12/22/1779, also served as Marine on the Sloop "Rainbow".

They removed to Cavendish, around 1785, and lived in the same vicinity as Revolutionary soldier and friend, Nathaniel Farr on the Davis Road -- the dirt road that branches off from the Twenty-Mile Stream Road where George Timko is living in 1998.

Lydia died 3 Dec. 1825 (age 65).

After Lydia's death Timothy was concerned about his ability to take care of himself and his farm. He m. 2nd, before 1828, Hannah ---.

At the age of 66 years on 16 Dec., 1828, he entered into a bond of support with his son John Adams, who had been living previously in Rushford, NY, but came home to Cavendish to live. The agreement called for the sale of all of Timothy's land for $1,000 to son John. But the money need not be paid if John provided his father with the following:
".... on the first day of January annually hereafter, during the natural life of him the said Timothy Adams, three bushels of wheat; six bushels of rye, five bushels of corn; six bushels of oats; one hundred pounds of beef; two hundred and sixty five pounds of pork; twenty five pounds of tallow; twenty pounds of fresh meat; fifty pounds of butter; one hundred pounds of cheese; twenty pounds of flax; twenty pounds of wool; two pounds of Hyson skin tea; two pound of young Hyson tea; six pounds of loaf sugar; twenty four pounds of West Indies sugar; one pound of coffee; two and a half gallons of molasses; twelve gallons of New England rum; one pound of pepper; one pound of allspice; one pound of Allum; one pound of ginger; one pound of Copernicus, seven and a half yards of cotton cloth for shirting; half of a bushel of beans; one peck of peas; one peck of onions; one peck of beets; one peck of carrots; one peck of parsnips; twelve heads of cabbage; one bushel of turnips; twenty cords of wood, cut, split and prepared for the fire; twenty bushels of potatoes; four barrels of cider; ten bushels of apples; twenty-five pounds of cod fish; one bushel of salt; $5 in money; And also, at my own proper charge and expense, furnish, and provide suitable and proper nurses, medicines and physicians for him the said Timothy Adams and Hannah Adams, the wife of the said Timothy Adams during the life of the said Timothy Adams, and also keep in repair a sleigh, wagon, and harness for one horse, and furnish shoes and boots for the said Timothy Adams and his said wife Hannah Adams during the life of said Timothy Adams, and keep the same well mended and in repair; and also provide and furnish cotton cloth that may be necessary for the use of the said Timothy Adams and his wife Hannah during his natural life for sheets; and in case the said Timothy Adams should so desire, build and furnish for his use a good and convenient dwelling house on the premises aforesaid with a well and necessary appendages; and also comply with and perform the terms and requisitions contained in a certain instrument in writing dated the twelfth day of February in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty eight, purporting to be the last will and testament of the said Timothy Adams; then this lease is to be void and of no effect; otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue."

Timothy Adams died in Cavendish, 23 May 1841 (age 79).
