Evelyn F. Hogan 
Millinocket – Evelyn F. Hogan, 66, died Monday at a Hartland hospital after a brief illness. She was well-known in the local school system. 
Miss [sic] Hogan was born at Hartland May 27, 1898, daughter of George W and Melora (Littlefield) Furber. 
She attended Hartland schools and was a graduate of Hartland Academy. She received a BS degree in education from Farmington State Teachers College and an MA degree from the University of Maine. 
She had been a teacher at the training school at FSTC, had taught schools in Sanford, Hartland and Berlin, N.H. Since 1934 she had been supervisor in penmanship and art in the Millinocket public school system. 
She was a member of the Maine Teachers Association, the National Education Association, the Millinocket Teachers Club and attended the First Congregational Church here. 
Survivors include a sister, Miss Iva Furber of Hartland; a granddaughter and grandson.
