Karl William Batt, better known as "Sonny," died May 12 at the Kossuth hospital at the age of one year, nine months and twenty-three days. He was the son of Corporal and Mrs. William Batt, Jr., and the first grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Seip, of Irvington, and Mr. and Mrs. William Batt, of Algona. He was the great grandson of Mrs. Bertha Batt, St. Benedict, and Mrs. Emma Taylor, Dawson, Minn.
Funeral services were held from the Irvington Presbyterian church Sunday, May 14th, with Rev. C. C. Richardson and Rev. A. English in charge and interment was in the Irvington cemetery.
