He was a long-time member of Living Word Community Church in Calhan CO, proud owner of the Warren's Garage in Calhan, and was the longest serving bus driver for the Calhan School district. For some families, he was the bus driver for 3 generations.
Hal loved "horse trading", really anything for anything, he enjoyed repairing vehicles, working on his ranch, playing and listening to music, spending time with his family, eating a good steak (well done, but not dry), telling tall tales, and getting a good scare, or a laugh from anyone at any time. He was an avid hiker and backpacker and enjoyed the Colorado mountains so much that he spent the majority of his vacation time there. He was proud of his military service in the Korean War, fiercely proud of his family, and his ranch. He truly adored his wife Patricia and had her picture in front of him every day after her passing. Not a day went by that he didn't acknowledge his love for her and his desire to see her again. They literally traveled the world together with trips to Europe, Malaysia, Borneo, Australia and Hawaii.
They will no doubt, be cutting a rug in heaven as they did on earth, and the music will never cease there.
He will be sorely missed by his family, and his numerous friends.
