She was a nurse for many years, working at Washington-St. Tammany Regional Medical Center, Bogalusa Medical Center, Desporte Clinic and occasionally as a private duty nurse.
She was a member of the Elizabeth Sullivan United Methodist Church and its Evergreen Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oveid Dunaway Sr., her parents Margaret Elizabeth (Ingraham) and James J. Rogers, and three of her brothers, David, Frank and Elmo Rogers. She is survived by four daughters, Janice (Scofield) Berthelot, Patricia (Anthony) Daldegan, Gloria Jean Knight, Judy (William) Zwank and one son, Oveid Dunaway Jr.
Two other brothers survived Florence, James J. and Harold T. Rogers, but they have since passed away as well.
