Ralph (Pop) Geer 86 who lived at 612 No K St gained recognition In Tacoma in 1923 when he begin manufacturing fishing tackle in the back yarn of his K street home. Soon the plant ex-to larger quarters at 933 meres St and later to its present site at 2712 Pacific Ave. Mr Geer came to Tacoma In 1918 from Waldo Hill Ore his birthplace. He and his wife celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last July. Geer was a member of Evergreen Lodge No 51 FAAM and Royal Arch Tacoma Chapter No 4. Surviving are his wife Mrs Nellie C Geer, a son Leonard D Geer, of Tacoma a daughter Mr Margaret Wescott, of Burton Wash two sisters Mrs Ida Clymer, of Yuma An and Mr Mary Brown, of Seattle one brother Willard Geer, of Los Angels and four grandchildren . Tuell's Mortuary has made arrangements for graveside service to be held at 1pm Friday in the New Tacoma Cemetery the Rev Harold B Long officiating.
