Mrs. Clara W. Brant, 66, of 215 Fourth avenue, Waynesburg, died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, December 18, 1955, in Greene County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born Nov. 4, 1889 at Brock, a daughter of Eli and Ruth Stephens Whitlatch deceased. She married Elza Brant on Sept. 4, 1912, who survives. She has spent her entire life in Waynesburg and Greene County.

Surviving are one brother, C. L. Whitlatch of Laurelville, O.; one half-brother, Haywood Whitlatch of Pennsboro, W. Va.; and the following sisters: Mrs. Anna Spragg, Mrs. Alice W. Headlee, Mrs. Julia Haught, and Mrs. Vada Throckmorton, all of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Valley Chapel Methodist Church and the Waynesburg chapter of the W. C. T. U.
