Juan proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and saw combat in the Vietnam War. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant and retired after 20 years of service. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He worked for State Farm Insurance for 15 years as an insurance adjustor and later worked for the Office of the Texas Attorney General.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Isabel C. Ramirez; siblings, Anita Ramirez, Luis Ramirez, Domingo Ramirez, Jr., and Baltazar Ramirez; and son-in-law, Manuel Gonzalez.
Left to treasure Juan's memory is his loving wife, Gloria M. Ramirez; his children, Ester Ramirez (Sam), John Ramirez (Paula), Domingo Ramirez (Veronica), Vicky Ramirez, Melissa Gonzales, Laura Ramirez, and Belinda Ramirez; grandchildren, Peter, Adan, and Joshua Cisneros, Mia and Jonathan Ramirez, Yvette, Angel and Emiliano Ramirez, David and Bella Chapa, Bianca, Nick, and Sophie Gonzalez, Ryan and Brandon Villanueva, Mia Navaratte and Madison Gomez; and close family friends, Lori Guillen and Diana Abrego.

Visitation will take place Sunday, September 13, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A prayer service will begin Sunday evening at 7 o'clock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. Following the Mass, Juan will be laid to rest with full military honors at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
