We just returned from Uncle Martin's funeral and he would have been tickled pink at the procession. In our part of the South, we still honor our loved ones with a police escort to their final resting place. The young policeman took the the line of cars right through the middle of uptown Shelby with his sirens screaming. Normally most folks stop their cars to pay their respects when the hearse rolls by, but we had everyone stopping to see what was going on. Uncle Martin not only stopped traffic, he stopped pedestrians! What a great send off for such a mild mannered little fellow.

Your work here is done Uncle Martin, go have some fun and sing with the angels.

Love, Judy
