He was born on October 4, 1944 in Kansas City, MO to the late Clayton Gibbs and Thelma Nadine (Holder) Gibbs.
Dale loved fishing and hunting when he was younger. He was a former corrections officer, a volunteer for the Rolla Rural Fire Department and his last job was as a cross walk guard for Mark Twain Elementary School. Dale was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving for 8 years. He also enjoyed watching old westerns in his spare time.
Dale will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: two sons, Bryan Gibbs of Waynesville, MO and Clayton Gibbs of San Jose, CA; two daughters, Heather Kamprath and husband, Matthew of Rolla, MO and Melissa Morales of Manteca, CA; two brothers, Bruce Gibbs and wife, Lynda of St. Joseph, MO and Ron Gibbs and wife, Debbie of Orangeburg, SC; seven grandchildren, Victor Morales and wife, Shakira, Taryn Kamprath, Leah Kamprath, Paige Gibbs, Keely Gibbs, Kenzie Gibbs and Mallorie Gibbs; and three great grandchildren, Eva Morales, Draeden Morales and Tamsin Morales.
A graveside service for Dale E. Gibbs will be conducted with full military honors at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Waynesville, MO with Rev. Stephen Kamprath officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family to help with funeral expenses.
