Funeral rites for William Richard Hogge, Sr., 80, retired West Monroe cabinetmaker, were held at 10 am today in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe. The Rev. Don Wineinger and Rev. Cecil Warbington officiated. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Mr. Hogg died early Thursday in the Ridgecrest Nursing Home in West Monroe after a long illness.

A native of Charleston, West Virginia, he had resided in West Monroe since 1929. His residence was 101 Linderman Street, West Monroe, and he was a member of the First Methodist Church in West Monroe.

He is preceded in death by his first wife:
Flavia Ella Lewis Hogge who died in 1948

Mr. Hogge is survived by his 2nd wife:
Claudine Hogge Caldwell
Three daughters:
Miss Carol Hogge of West Monroe
Juanita Hogge Holt (Mrs. Kenneth E. Holt) of West Monroe
Grace Hogge Johnson (Mrs. Victor P. Johnson) of West Monroe
One son:
John (Jack) L. Hogge of Beaumont, Texas
One sister:
Mrs. Bruce Myers of Orange, Texas
Five grandchildren
