Anna was the wife of Aquilla Peaslee.

Nov 1919 - Mrs Anna L Peaslee passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs Ethan Allen, Thursday, Oct 30 at the age of 74 years. She was the daughter of Simeon W and Susan D Taylor. She was born in Meredith but at an early age she moved to Holderness village, near Ashland.

At the age of 18 she married Aquilla E Peaslee, a veteran of the Civil war, with whom she lived till the angel of death summoned him to the grand army above. For the past nine years she has made her home with her nephew, Moses F Evans of North Holderness. She was a woman of sterling qualities of head and heart, a great worker and generous and loyal to her relatives and friends, and ever ready to assist and comfort the poor and unfortunate.

The funeral services were held at the home of her sister Mrs Allen, Sunday Nov 2nd. Rev. Mr Manter of the Baptist church of Ashland preached the funeral sermon. Burial was in Green Grove Cemetery, Ashland, E.G. Gammons undertaker. The floral offerings by relatives and friends included spray of roses, Mr & Mrs Ethan Allen; spray of pinks Mrs Myra J Pickering; bouquet of geraniums and snowdrops, Mrs Cora E Smith; spray of chrysanthemums, Mr & Mrs Moses T Evans; spray of pinks, Mr & Mrs E.M. Nichols.
