Warren Wayne Bennett, 81, of Guthrie, Oklahoma was born in Chanute, Kansas on June 15,1940 to Clifford and Hazel (Cassingham) Bennett. He passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Warren attended school in Wichita, Kansas from elementary school through graduation from Wichita East. After graduation, he joined the United States Marines. Warren went to work for Mertz Inc. in Ponca City, Oklahoma as a machinist and later as the Overseas start-up crew leader. He then worked for Nomatics in Stillwater, Oklahoma until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed camping, golfing, bicycle racing, hunting, baseball and softball.
Warren is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bob Bennett and his son, Adam Bennett.
Survivors include his son, Victor Bennett and wife Rhonda; his wife, Carol Ann Bennett; stepdaughters, Kelli Payne and husband Jesse, Kenda Davis and husband, Ron, Ashley Boyer and husband, Matt, Sharolyn Ralston and husband, Mike; and stepson, Jason Whiting and wife, Shelley. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Warren will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Resthaven - Sunset Memorial Park, 1901 E. Hubbard Road in Ponca City.
Honorary pallbearers are Victor Bennett, Jason Whiting, Matt Boyer, Mike Ralston, Jesse Payne, Jake Hicks, and John Thiry.
