KITTRELL- Adrian Wayne Brame, 84, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2021 at his home. Born April 30, 1937 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Nathan G. Brame and Lola Faulkner Brame and was the widower of Mary Ann Edwards Brame. He served his country as a young man in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. Adrian retired from R.J. Reynolds after more than 30 years, where he worked as a tobacco buyer and made many lifelong friends. He was a dedicated husband, a proud grandfather, and a Godly father that his girls adored. Adrian was a faithful Christian, who modeled gratitude and contentment to his family, and believed that a person's most important decision was accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. He enjoyed family gatherings, meeting his friends at McDonald's for breakfast, going to church, finding a great deal, watching NASCAR Racing and westerns, especially Gunsmoke. Adrian enjoyed a good conversation about almost anything and was widely respected by all who knew him. He served as a deacon, choir member, and member of The David Stokes Sunday School Class at North Henderson Baptist Church, where funeral services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 3:00 pm by Rev. Eddie Nutt. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. He is survived by his three daughters, Kim Brame McGimsey (Jim) of Raleigh, Jet Ayscue Anderson of Kittrell, and Adrian Brame Woody (Wayne) of Oxford; seven grandchildren, Thomas Bryant Anderson, Jr. (Jessica), Jenna Lynn Anderson (Madison), Kyle Richard McGimsey, Isabelle Brame McGimsey, Anna Grayson Woody, Ruffin Wayne Woody and Drew Beckett Woody; a great granddaughter, Savannah Lynn Yancey; a sister, Shirley Clayborne of Oxford; and a brother, Wallace Brame of Raleigh. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Edgar Brame, Bobby Brame, and H.T. Brame; two sisters, Judy Breedlove and Grace Poythress; and a son-in-law, Thomas Bryant Anderson, Sr. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the fellowship hall of North Henderson Baptist. Serving as active pallbearers will be Mike Satterwhite, Larry Brame, Tommy Satterwhite, Bill Satterwhite, Tim Bridges, and David Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Poythress, Emmitt Brame, Harvey Brame, Mike Brame, Rodney Clayborne. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
