Dixie Randolph Gray, 79, of Stanley, Virginia passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Winchester Medical Center.

He was born on June 1, 1942, in Stanley, VA and was a son of the late Charles Bernard Gray and Stella Mae Gray.

Dixie worked for ARA as a manager for 20 years and was a member of the Stanley Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary since 2001.

He is survived by a son, Jeff Gray and fiancée Rosalie Terry of Front Royal; a sister, Betty Lee Grimsley of Shenandoah; two grandchildren, Courtney Gray-Volk of Seattle, Wash., and Joel Gray of Hagerstown, Md; and two great-grandchildren, Haley Gray and Kendall Gray, both of Hagerstown, Md. He was preceded in death by six sisters, Bobbie Jean Patterson, Shirley Ann Elliott, Nellie Collins, Rhoda Turner, Eva Campbell and Hazel Gray; and four brothers, Charles D., Leon, Glendon and Aldine Gray.

He was married to Nancy Lee Delawder from 1965 to 1985 and Laurie Laine Gray from 1988 to 1991.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at St. George's Episcopal Church in Pine Grove. Burial will be in the Graves Chapel Cemetery in Stanley.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, at the Bradley Funeral Home.
