Joyce L. Young, 90, of Chillicothe passed away on Friday evening, August 20, 2021, at Lacon Rehab & Nursing Home in Lacon.
Joyce was born on June 19, 1931, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Ralph and Blanch (Hahn) Adams. She married Neil F. Young on July 9, 1951, in Chillicothe. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2006.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzette (Dennis) Miller of Chillicothe; two grandsons, Joshua (Val) Miller of Waukon, IA, and Adam (Ashlee) Miller of Morton; six great-grandchildren, Braeden, Edison, Harrison, Easton, Maddox and Ellison; a sister, Pat Sullivan of Streator; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Adams of Elberton, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Cassandra Cealey; brother, Lloyd Adams; and her twin sister, Jean L. Hopp.
Joyce was a homemaker and very generous person. She supported many veteran groups and animal shelters.
