Joseph (Joe) Conrad Flock, 87 of Cashton, Wisconsin was born on March 29,1934 to Anton and Margaret (Leuck) Flock in the township of Jefferson, Monroe County, Wisconsin. He passed away on Saturday August 28,2021 at his home in Cashton. Joe married Marlene Holtet on September 25,1956 at St. Mary's Ridge NBVM Church.
Joe and Marlene were Blessed with eleven children. Steven (Mary) Flock, Kathy (Chuck) Kuderer, Joseph (Lois) Flock, Margie (Dale) Spohn, Julie (Brian) Peterson, Phillip (Sue) Flock, David (Stephanie) Flock, Charles (Kris) Flock, Kristina Flock, Wayne (Veronica) Flock, & Karen ( Dave) Dewey. In addition to his 11 children and their spouses, Joseph also leaves behind 23 Grandchildren and their spouses and 21 Great Grandchildren, with two more to be born soon. Joe was born and raised on the Family farm where he remained farming as he and Marlene raised their 11 children. They proudly celebrated the farm as a Century Farm in 1989. They sold the farm to son Phillip and his wife Sue in January 1993 and moved to Cashton. Joe remained active on the farm for many years.
He was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Ridge Catholic Church and The Catholic Order of Foresters. He served on the board of directors of The Farmers Town Mutual Insurance company for over 40 years. But most of all Joe was known for his gentle and loving smiles, stories and Love of his family. He has left a legacy that will forever be in the hearts of many.
He is survived by his wife Marlene of nearly 65 years, his 11 children and their spouses, Grandchildren & their spouses, Great Grandchildren, a brother Gerald and his wife Bev. He is also survived by Sister in laws Donna Sykora and Cindy (Dale) Preuss. Brothers in Law Ronald Holtet & Harley Creviston, as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Parents Anton & Margaret Flock, Grandson Tyler Elsen, brother James in infancy, Sisters Mary Gronemus & Jeanice Gardner, Brothers Sylvester and Francis Flock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday September 1, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church on St. Mary's Ridge. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Church both on Tuesday August 31, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m. with rosary at 7:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
