Funeral services for William D. Suggs, 70 years old, who died at his home near Gassville, Thursday of last week, were held at the Whiteville Baptist Church with the Rev. Claude Crigler officiating.
Mr. Suggs was born near Amos June 14, 1870 and spent his entire life in this county. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Suggs. He was married to Miss Mary Lamb October 27, 1895. He has been a faithful member of the Whiteville Baptist Church for many years. Burial was in the Whiteville Cemetery with Masonic services. The McClure Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Russell; two adopted daughters, Pearl Kilburn Powell of Gassville and Phyllis Hillard of Detroit, Mich.; one brother, S. B. Suggs; a half-brother, C.W. Anglin, and a half-sister, Mrs. Ona Morris, all of Gassville.
