Marvin Tune, 79, passed away August 27, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. He was born December 13, 1941 to parents, Martin Lynn Cotton and Mildred Marie (Pope) Tune.

He was raised in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1961. Marvin played all 4 years of football for the Hillsboro Eagles. He was united in marriage to Michaelle (Parr) Tune on January 23, 1960, in Hillsboro. Shortly after graduation the couple moved to Dallas. After moving to Dallas he went to work for Dixie Wax Paper Company, working for them for 43 years and retiring in 2005.

Marvin was an avid fisherman and hunter, he also enjoyed shooting sports and was a member of the Ellis County Sportsman Club. He enjoyed Nascar, the Texas Rangers and was an armchair defense coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys and a Connoisseur of all things for CiCi's pizza.

Preceding him in death were his parents, son, Matthew Tune, wife, Michaelle Tune and one brother, Tommy Tune.

Survived by his child, Micki Hollenbeck, brother, Warren Tune, sisters, Gloria Valentine, Valarie Madsen, 2 grand daughters, several nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held September 1, 2021 at the Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro, Texas...M_M
