"April 4, 1901 of Plurasy, Mrs. Phebe Hendershot, at the home of her son C.W. Hendershot near Fidelity, with whom she has made a home for a year. Mrs. Hendershot was the mother of Mrs. J.P. Earhart and Mrs. A.W. Dixon (Dickson) of this place, who with their families were called there last week. Mrs. Hendershot was past 73 years of age. Besides her sons and two daughters who were left to mourn her death, she leaves many warm friends that will remember her as a devoted christian. Mrs. Hendershot united with the christian church at the age of 15, and for 58 years has been a true follower of Christ. Owing to stormy weather funeral services were postponed to some future time, and the remains were buried in the Comet Cemetery northeast of Granada."
