Faith A. "Fai" Benner of Buffalo, NY wife of Charles M. Benner, entered into rest Friday, August 23, 2019. She was born in Lockport, NY on May 15, 1942 the daughter of the late Martin Werth and Carrie B. "Peggy" Cheasty.

She graduated from Newfane Central School in 1960 and enlisted in the Marine Corps. She married Charles M. Benner, September 23, 1961 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Burt, NY. She earned an associates degree in accounting from NCCC but if it was a job she worked it, from farm work to factory work. She retired from U.S. Customs at the Rainbow Bridge.

She was fascinated by genealogy and was a painter. She was an avid animal and nature lover. She shared her life with a number of horses, dogs and cats.

She is survived by her husband Charles M., her children, Charles A. and Lynnette Benner; siblings Gary (Dorothy) Cheasty, Ian Michael (Sue) Cheasty, Elizabeth Cheasty, Francis Cheasty, 5 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and 9 beloved cats. Services will be held on September 7th at 11am at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Burt, NY. Please share condolences at www.AMIGONE.com
