This is a sad case in our family history. Doc was William Henderson Sheffield's child by his first marriage to a Betty Baker. Doc is said to have been mentally handicapped and it is reported in family history that Doc was cheated out of an inheritance. Wm Henderson married his 2nd wife, Caroline Mitchell and their first child was born in Aug 1891. Doc is buried by his dad and step mom.
According to his death record he died of Psychosis with exhaustion and infectious diarrhea.He died in the San Antonio State Hospital.
