Funeral services for Mrs. Jewell Dumas Souter, age 101, of Canyon Lake, TX, formerly of Springhill, will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, August 30, 2021, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA with Bro. Chris Lucy officiating. Interment will follow in Welcome Cemetery, Taylor, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 30, 2021, from 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Souter was born on October 18, 1919 to Alfred Jackson and Evie Mae Linton Warner in Emerson, AR and passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 in Canyon Lake, TX. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Springhill and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her two daughters, Joye Dumas O'Bier and husband, Sam of Wildwood, TX, Pat Dumas Tupa of Canyon Lake, TX; seven grandchildren, Kim Williams, Kelli Rawls, Klay O'Bier, Connie Perkins Angersteine, Stacie Perkins Hall, Anthony Tupa, Phillip White; nine great-grandchildren, Brittany Coleman, Mary Lewis, Corey Kennaly, Randi Rawls, Reef O'Bier, Hannah Tupa, T. J. Tupa, Bodie Swanson, Stasha Swanson; two great great-grandchildren, Olivia Thompson, Dekota Rutman; and two nephews, Mike Souter and Bill Linton.
Mrs. Souter was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, T. A. Dumas and Loye W. Souter; sisters, Faye White, Mardell Byler; and, brother, Travis Warner.
