WINCHESTER, Ind.--Melvin Lewis Sr., 66, ,105 Metz, died Friday in Randolph County Hospital after an extended illness.
Mr. Lewis was a World War II veteran and was retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Co. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa and the Winchester American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Genetea Lewis; his mother, Nellie Lewis, Winchester; a son, Melvin Lewis Jr., Winchester; and a grandson.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Walker Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fountain Park Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
