He was born on December 3, 1949 in Waynesville, MO to the late Harold Allison, Sr. and Martha (Leonard) Allison. On February 14, 2001 he married Kathy (Wilson) Allison in Rolla.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Fitzsimmons in November of 2020; and one brother, Fred Allison.
Charlie was a fireman with the Rolla Rural Fire Dept. for 14 years. He was an avid horseman and he loved the outdoors; hunting, trapping and snagging. He enjoyed watching sports and played softball in his younger years. Charlie also played bluegrass with Fred Allison and Jimmie Allison.
Charlie will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: his wife, Kathy Allison of Rolla; a daughter, Carla E. Allison of Rolla; one son, Michael Harris and wife, Cynthia of Ft. Riley, KS; one brother, Lynn L. Allison; six grandchildren, Lindsay, Cole, Nathaniel, Autumn, Skylar and Michael; three great grandchildren; the mother of his daughters, Brenda Drew; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
A funeral service for Charles E. Allison will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Rhea Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
