Born in New Bedford, a son of Rebecca (Rocha) Hibbard and her husband, George K. Hibbard III of Fairhaven and Thomas Barbero and his partner, Michael Blais of Lincoln, Rhode Island.
He attended the Schwartz Center for Education for several years; he loved spending time with his family and his wonderful nurses, also visiting Fort Phoenix with his mother and nurse friend Linda.
Besides his parents he is survived by one brother, Timothy Barbero; a sister, Eryn Barbero; a niece, Callie Barbero, all of Fairhaven; a step brother, Christopher Hibbard of Chelmsford; paternal grandmother, Fay Rodrigues and her husband, Mario of New Bedford; paternal great-grandmother, Amy Small of Fairhaven; his loving caregiver, James Lowman of New Bedford; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was also the grandson of the late Raymond Barbero, Joseph and Florence Rocha.
