"Mary Esther Skinner, 91, Route 1, Perrysville, died at 11:35 a.m. July 31, 1996 in United Samaritans Medical Center, Sager Campus, Danville, Ill. She was born Dec. 22, 1904 at Perrysville, the daughter of John Henderson and Lily E. Adams Cole. She married Norman Lewis Skinner Oct. 1, 1941. He preceded her in death March 4, 1978. She was a life resident of the Perrysville area and a graduate of Perrysville High School in 1922. She was a farm wife.

Surviving are: two sons, Norman L. (Dorothy) Skinner and Curtis (Candace) Skinner, both of Perrysville; two sisters, Imalee Delp, Rockville and Gladys Allen, Covington; two brothers, John C. Cole, Onarga, Ill. and Paul Cole, Covington; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, John Stanley Green; two brothers, Wayne and Edgar Cole; and a sister, Tessie Pearman.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with the Rev. Grover Williams officiating. Burial will be in Lower Mound Cemetery, Covington. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. tonight (Friday)." – Fountain County Neighbor, August 2, 1996
