George C. Hull, one of the old residents of Boone, died at his home 412 State Street, this morning, Thursday October 17th, after an illness of a month’s duration. Death was due to heart failure complicated with dropsy and asthma. Death occurred at 6:50 o’clock. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from his late residence, Rev. A.L. Golden officiating, and the remains laid to rest in Linwood Park cemetery. The deceased was born in 1848 and was sixty four years of age at the time of his death. He was a native of Boone county and made this his home all his life. He was an attorney by profession and practiced for a number of years. At the present time he was a candidate for justice of the peace on the republican ticket in Des Moines township.
To mourn his death are his wife and four children. Clarence E. Hull is a son by his first wife and the other children are, Daniel, Mrs. Walter Payne and Mrs. A. Kendall, all of Boone. The family have the sympathy of all in their bereavement. The Democrat will publish an obituary in its next issue.
