Note: He was also known as Cruso Beard.

He was originally buried in a vault on the Beard Home Place, east of Granger, Texas. In 1970s the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers moved that Cemetery to an area next to the Granger City Cemetery.

Wife was Sarah Stanton. She married Eugene Beard on January 17, 1883 in Williamson Co., Texas

She married again after his death to William "BIll" Meador and they lived in Floydada, Texas.
