Wayne Junior Painter, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born to Hilda Dinges and Carson Painter in Luray on September 29, 1939.
He was a long-time member of the Luray Moose Lodge. He worked at the Wrangler plant in Luray for several years until he started driving a truck for short haul.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Hilda Weakley, and father, Carson Painter, and sister, Jean Parrish.
He is survived by his children, daughter Karen Via and husband Harold; grandson Daniel of Grottoes; and son Dustin McCartney and wife Crystal; grandson Clinton and granddaughter Amber of Stuarts Draft.
