Charlotte Grace "Chic" Bolding, 86, died Aug. 9, 2017, at Brookdale Senior Living, Great Bend. She was born Oct. 31, 1930, at Smackover, Ark., the daughter of Edward C. and Grace Beatrice (Thornton) Matson. She married Grady Palmer Bolding, Jr., May 25, 1950, at Smackover, Ark. A Great Bend resident since 1957, coming from Magnolia, Ark., Mrs. Bolding was secretary at Morrison Elementary and Roosevelt Junior High, worked as a realtor and was office manager for Grady Bolding Corporation.



Mrs. Bolding was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, charter member of PEO Chapter HR, Great Bend Council of Churches, and the NAACP. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.



Survivors include her husband, Grady Palmer Bolding, Jr., of the home; three sons, Mike Bolding and partner Susie Lee of Oakland, Calif., Chris Bolding and his wife Ursula of Jones, Okla., and Mark Bolding and his wife Yan Zhu of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Cheryl Gunn and her husband Lyle of Great Bend; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jay Matson.



Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at First Southern Baptist Church in Great Bend with Pastor Tim Singleton officiating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m., Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials have been established with First Southern Baptist Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
