Joyce Rae (Gensman) Baker Stuckman of Alvin, Texas, was born on July 26, 1956 in Canadian, Texas to Donald Lloyd and Irene Ruth (Bechthold) Gensman. She went to be with our Lord Jesus at 12:42pm on August 20, 2021 at the Houston Methodist Hospital at 65 years of age after a long battle of health issues.
Joyce grew up in Darrouzett, Texas and graduated from Darrouzett High School in 1974. She was very well known for her basketball skills and received many honors while in high school. She went on to Northwestern State University in Alva, OK on a basketball scholarship.
Her family were custom harvesters and traveled during the summers cutting wheat. Joyce drove a combine and truck and helped cook the meals where she learned a hard work ethic.
She had her own interior design business for many years in South Texas. She was always known for being an awesome cook and for being the "Fun Aunt" where she always had beach activities planned when you went to visit. Joyce and Don loved to venture to flea markets in hopes of finding her favorite antiques! The love she had for her doggies, Hunter and Peanut was tremendous. They brought so much joy to her day! Joyce had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh that will be greatly missed by all who knew her!

Joyce married Delmar Baker on August 10,1974 in Darrouzett, TX. To this union was born a son, Joshua Greenberry Baker on May 1, 1981. Joyce later met her current husband who was a longtime companion, provider, caretaker and best friend, Don Stuckman on March 16, 2018.
